Unless stated otherwise, Shae is 5'5". And a half. Because to her, the "half" is incredibly important.

Mun + Account Info

Everything you've gotta know about me and the account! ...Duh.

  • First thing's first, my name is Riven. If you know my real name, feel free to call me that, too. I don't really care lol.

  • I was born in 2002, and have been writing Shae since 2014. She's an old character, I know.

  • I'm generally a pretty easy-going guy. But on top of that, I'm pretty direct with how I speak. I don't mean any disrespect if anything I say comes across that way and apologize in advance.

- - - - -

  • This account is SFW! I don't mind writing with NSFW accounts, but I will not engage with any explicit stuff on this account. That stuff is for the alt, the @ being Shae's last name.
--- That being said, I don't mind writing with minors on main, but if I catch any on my alt I will in fact be throwing your corpse into the sun and blocking you on both accounts.
--- Now, keep in mind... I'm not really in the mood for NSFW stuff too often. That account solely exists for the times I am. As such, my activity there is VERY sporadic.

  • Speaking of DMs, those are always open!
--- Feel free to barge in for plotting, share a meme or a post, or just ask me about myself or my OC! I love gushing about my gal lol.

  • Despite labelling myself as a "selective" account, I write a multiversal OC, so my following generally is decently large. If I follow you, that means I'd like to write with you! I'll probably DM you to plot, but if I don't (because I forgor), feel free to DM me!
--- Now, being a selective account, I've massively trimmed my following to people I actively or want to write with. But if I don't follow you back, it's not to say I don't want to write with you. There's always a possibility! Hmu with an idea for a plot in DMs, or if I don't respond to those because twitter blows, tag me on the timeline to check my DMs. In this case, I will always tell you if I'm interested or not.

  • This is a big one for me, but I prefer writing on the timeline on my main. I bookmark all my replies, and eventually, I'll get to them. Like others, I'll announce if I feel the need to drop my bookmarks though lmao. ANYWAY, you are ALWAYS free to bump me with likes or linking me the RP in DMs.
--- I don't mind writing in DMs but I am far less likely to reply to those. I like to show off my writing, makes the account look active when I'm not retweet spamming art or memes lol.

  • Sorry to say, but I do not want to write with people who do one liners. It's boring, hard to go off of, and I see it as little effort being put in. I'm fine with one liners in an RP if it's meant to be like a quick reply before the next one is me or my partner doing something to incite action or whatever, but other than that? Don't. Please.
--- As for you, I could not give less of a shit how much you write lol. Generally, I try to strive for a minimum of two tweets. Sometimes I'll fill out one entire one, but I'll usually go for two at the very least. I do not care if you write more than me. Flex your writing. Do what you gotta do. As long as we're both happy with what we're writing, I'm cool.

An Awoken Hunter reborn in the Plaguelands. She helped to see the downfall of Atheon, Crota, and Oryx. After felling Oryx, she received a small portion of his Taken abilities, and as a result, wields her own small army of Taken. She disappeared afterward and returned to the solar system to shepherd Guardians to safety when Ghaul attacked, rejoining the Guardians of the Last City to take back Earth and the rest of the solar system. After some time, she would unknowingly become trapped in the Infinite Forest after failing to save someone close to her. In her simulation, she escaped through the Vault of Glass and one of its' many portals that stretched beyond time. However, when she entered one, she came out in the Dark Ages. Before she could return to that Infinite Forest simulation, the portal was destroyed, stranding her in this time period. She may have escaped from that simulation, but now she was trapped in the past.In the past, she joins up with the Iron Lords near the beginning of their creation, naming herself "Lady Calcifer." Disappearing when the Iron Lords meet their end to SIVA, Shaetima would kill herself and instruct her Ghost to revive her just before Ghaul struck. After which, she would lay dormant in one of the stasis pods in the Cosmodrome (seen in Cayde's Stash from Destiny 1) until time had caught up. Due to an error with the pod, she stayed in there longer than she'd meant to, coming out of stasis during Season of the Splicer, where she would once again take up arms against Atheon, who returned from a different timeline.

  • She has the ability to Take opponents, though she often only Takes those who are willing to fight under her. Technically, she could Take any being she comes across due to her Paracausal nature, however.
--- This ability became far weaker when Savathun took control of the Taken, the Xivu Arath. Strength returned after Xivu's loss of godhood, but promptly became weaker yet when the Witness returned to Sol.

  • She retains the knowledge of subclasses lost from before the Red War, meaning she can still use them. An example would be Bladedancer.

  • Due to becoming lost in time, she's had a very long time to hone her Light. This has enabled her access to the abilities that Titans and Warlocks have access to.

Fate

/Master - A mage, bounty hunter and maid all rolled into one.

A mage with dreams of hitting it big, unfortunately tempered by the fact that life doesn't exactly work out that way... because she makes most of her living at a... maid... cafe...Shaetima belongs to a family of mages who keep their techniques within the family: the ability to manipulate the dark. While they're all very secretive about the way they operate, Shaetima is different. She prefers the spotlight. On her way to make her own fortune in life, she becomes a rookie bounty hunter, taking on contracts to chase after mages that the association wants brought in. Unfortunately, she's a little hindered by... money. Stuck in Fuyuki, Japan and barely making ends meet at a maid cafe, she dreams of taking her show on the road. But for now? She's gotta deal with reality. Whenever there IS a bounty that finds itself in Japan, though? You can bet she'll take off in search of riches.

  • Shaetima specializes in illusion magic in conjunction with her ability to manipulate the dark. More often than not, she'll use the illusions to shroud an area in darkness so that she can do her thing.
--- What exactly can she do with the dark? She can physically manipulate its shape and create constructs! While they're weakened in the presence of direct light, at night, she becomes far more deadly, for everything becomes a source for her to manipulate. Falling in line with the idea of "shadows," often, she'll recreate the weapons she sees for use against her opponents.

  • Shaetima's fighting style, similarly to her weaponry, follows the idea of mimicry. Observing an opponent to mimic their physical moves, and using her shadow magic to copy their spells.

The jaded soul who defended the remnants of humanity from extinction...

In an alternate, far-off future, humanity was on the brink of extinction, and the dead were resurrected as warriors to protect. Guardians devoted their new lives to the safety of what was left of humanity, continuing to fight until the bitter end.Shaetima was a Guardian of the Last City, one who has battled through both time and space, felling gods and tearing through alien races in the name of humanity's survival. When she finally succumbed to a death that was denied her for so long, she continued that work as a Counter Guardian, continuing the duty inscribed in her very soul... always in service to humanity, be they whole or remnants.Above all else, the ends justify the means. Victory, at any cost. When it comes to saving the lives of others... Whatever it takes.

  • Class Skills:
    --- Magic Resistance: B
    --- Independent Action: B

  • Parameters:
    --- Strength: C
    --- Endurance: B
    --- Agility: B
    --- Mana: A
    --- Luck: C+
    --- Noble Phantasm: A

  • As a Guardian, Shaetima still holds control over the fundamental forces of the universe: Solar, Arc, and Void Light, which all require Mana to use. But she also still retains control over the pscyhological aspects of the mind that the Dark provides: Stasis and Strand, which can be used regardless of Mana. While wielding any one element, she can use every single ability that element provides.
--- In her state as a Heroic Spirit, switching between the elements takes large amounts of Mana, and she often prefers to stick with one in a given combat scenario.
--- She has the ability to teach others - regardless of if they're a mage or not - how to utilize Stasis and Strand... though failure to control them results in death.

  • Shaetima's Master gains the ability to see what she sees whenever they so wish, as long as her helmet remains on, which she rarely (if ever) takes off. They also gain the ability to communicate with her across any distance through telepathy.

  • As a deceased Hero, she has the ability to dissipate and remain invisible until called upon for combat or when she so chooses.

  • In a similar vein to EMIYA, she hails from an alternate future, and is thus unable to be recognized by other Servants, even with knowledge from the Throne of Heroes.

  • ឵឵

  • Noble Phantasm: Devotion inspires Bravery... - Varying Rank
Shaetima has stored a variety of iconic Guardian weaponry in a digital storage space known to Guardians as their "Vault." In a similar vein to Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon, Shaetima is able to delve into that Vault and summon forth any weapon that the Guardians had utilized in their fight to protect Humanity. However, she can only use one weapon at a time.

  • Noble Phantasm: ...Bravery leads to Sacrifice... - A
Charged passively and quickening under combat, with enough Mana, Shaetima unleashes one of 24 modern Guardian super abilities, with her choices restricted to the current element she wields in combat. While most super abilities are offensive and destructive, there are a few defensive and supportive ones.

  • Noble Phantasm: ...Sacrifice leads to Death. - B
Shaetima's Master acts as her Ghost, an entity that allows her the ability to resurrect, but in a limited capacity. Guardians are known for their ability to resurrect and continue to fight, but without the Light she was reborn in at one point, her Noble Phantasm is only a facsimile of that ability and nowhere near as potent. This can only activate once per combat instance. If death occurs beyond that, she dies completely.
When Shaetima falls in battle, her body fades away, and her consciousness becomes a spectator to her Master's view. She can communicate telepathically with her Master in this state. While in this state, Shaetima can choose to resurrect next to her Master regardless of their location, or her Master can resurrect her at any location in their line of sight.
Whenever Shaetima is revived, she is revived with full Mana reserves and is fully recovered. If Shaetima and her Master are one of two remaining pairs in the Grail War, her resurrection will be halved in effectiveness.

The cursed soul who spent eternity in the darkness...

In an alternate, far-off past, a soul born of darkness spends an eternity wallowing in it, trying and failing to find herself. Much later in life, they found a reason to live, but never forgot what it was like to be consumed by the dark they controlled.Shaetima was a mercenary and assassin who dominated the darkness. She bent it to her will completely and became one with it, almost becoming indiscernible from that which she dwelled in. Through various means, she found work for those that would save their worlds and joined them in their missions to do so. A shadow who served humanity time and time again.Darkness is the natural state of the universe. Drown everything and return them to the shadows.

  • Class Skills:
    --- Presence Concealment: A

  • Parameters:
    --- Strength: C
    --- Endurance: C
    --- Agility: B
    --- Mana: A
    --- Luck: B
    --- Noble Phantasm: A

  • Similarly to her mage counterpart, this Shaetima holds the ability to physically manipulate the dark, but in its entirety. While her constructs are weaker during the day, they are not useless. Similarly to EMIYA, the blades she creates dark copies of are ones she has all seen before. Swords, spears, knives, daggers, axes, any weapon that she's seen, she can make copies of. Often, she prefers to use a pair of daggers.
--- Her most notable ability is related to this and Presence Concealment. This Shaetima can hop into the shadows and hide within them for an indefinite period of time as long as the shadow stays present. She can also step into one shadow and appear out of another. While within one, she is completely invisible to mana detection until she steps out. If a shadow she resides in is illuminated, it forces her out in a dazed state.

  • Shaetima can utilize Typhokinesis as magic, able to generate and manipulate smoke wherever she is, allowing her to blind foes and make getaways or shroud battlefields in the dark.

  • Shaetima is the daughter of the Dusk Dragon, a being revered as a god while it was alive. This makes her a divine being by proxy, but she despises her nature as one, and barely acknowledges her heritage, giving her a mid-ranged Divinity skill.
--- Born to the Dusk Dragon and gifted with the ability to peer through the timelines, Shaetima was used to lead his armies to victory before breaking free from his reign and gaining her own free will. In practice, Shae can peer through possible timelines as a Servant, but should be wary. Time's flow is ever-changing. Nothing is set in stone. As such, it's an ability used for advisory, never for counter operations.

  • ឵឵

  • Noble Phantasm - Event Horizon - A
Completely swamping an area in the dark, Shaetima swallows the area in a Reality Marble, representative of the absence of light that she was born in. Unlike EMIYA's, where his contains the components to forge any blade, hers is but complete and utter darkness, giving her the ability to completely manipulate the environment to her liking and forge anything she wishes.

  • Noble Phantasm - Dusk Dragon - C+
Shaetima unveils her true nature as an ancient dragon with dominion over the dark, willing all aspects of the absence of light to her control. She personally dislikes reverting to her draconic form, and will almost never do so. Should the right conditions be fulfilled, though... she could certainly overcome her own restriction on it and gain immense strength and endurance (both ranked A++). Don't expect to see it be a commonplace maneuver, though.

In an alternate, modern day, a soul with no direction wandered what was left of the world aimlessly. Living day to day with no end in sight until a gentle soul found and uplifted them into purpose. From then on, they devoted their life in service of others.Shaetima was a thief who wielded techniques from Yunkui Summit in service of her own vices. At her lowest point, she was gifted the means to turn everything around and became a defender of humanity in a world nearly completely overran by the dark. In her own right, the world she knew came to see her as nothing short of a Hero.Life is among the most valuable treasures in the world. In service to others, never forget what truly matters.

  • Compared to other iterations, this Shaetima wields a specialized ink instead of the dark, using it instead to emulate weaponry. Differentiated, however, is the applications. This Shaetima works best when paired with another in combat, because her ink is utilized in conjunction with a partner to directly copy their attacks, adding a multi-hit function to whatever it is she decides to copy.
--- Without a partner to work with, her ink functions as traps, spreading throughout the field and waiting to catch opponents off guard by grabbing or stabbing into them, giving her openings to attack directly.

  • This Shaetima wields a dual pair of daggers that can combine to become a saber (haha) at will, letting her dance on the field and change the rhythm as she sees fit to keep her foes at bay.

  • While not blindingly fast, Shaetima can overtake speeding vehicles on foot alone when need-be, at about 200 km/hr. While that top speed wouldn't ever find itself used in combat, it does say something about her agility whilst fighting.

  • ឵឵

  • Noble Phantasm - Inky Fascimille - Varying Rank
Shaetima's accumulated ink on the battlefield coalesces and is imbued with a large store of mana. Then, she copies the target's Noble Phantasm using her ink and targets them, but it only works if she knows what it is, or sees the target beginning to use their NP. The stat for this will always be a grade below the copied NP (It will not go below D rank, however), but it makes it difficult for others to use their NPs freely, lest they get a taste of their own medicine.

Shaetima hails from the World of Fates and is the daughter of Nohr's Dusk Dragon. Having the ability to manipulate the dark that her father is named for, he created her with a single purpose: lead his armies to victory in the War of the First Dragons. To do so? He blessed her with the ability to see and move through time, ordering her to direct his forces in the direction of total victory. And that's exactly what she did. Battle after battle, night after night, the Dusk Dragon's armies had a concerning amount of victories under his belt. And for all her efforts, she was never congratulated, never thanked, it was always on to the next one. After so much time being ignored by her father, and coming to the realization that she was but a tool and nothing more? She abandoned his forces in the battle after, allowing herself to be captured by the Silent Dragon's. After much scrutiny, she became part of their forces and led the charge against the Dusk Dragon, managing to corner and destroy him before the Rainbow Sage allowed the humans to win the war. As penance for her betrayal, the Dusk Dragon cursed his daughter with eternal life, so that the bonds she sought out so desperately would slip past her fingers. After the war, Shaetima had befriended Anankos and retired to Valla with he and the Vallites, living peacefully. When he confides in her that his age was deteriorating his mind, she helped him to compose the song that he would pass down through the Vallite royal family to keep him in check. But as the story goes... eventually, it wouldn't be enough. And with each passing century, her first friend was starting to become one of those that would pass her by. Shaetima decides to leave the World of Fates, not wanting to watch Anankos' fall into madness, in order to save her own heart.

In the time that she had left the World of Fates, Shaetima had used her abilities to become a notorious thief and mercenary throughout the Outrealms. And throughout that time, she had begun to harbor a dislike for royalty. Almost everywhere she had gone, she had seen nothing but an abuse of power and the neglect of the people they ruled over. It is a trait that she would carry with her for a long while. Her next notable appearance would occur in the World of Crests. Making her way as an independent mercenary, she often had run ins with Byleth and Jeralt's Mercenaries, becoming a close acquaintance but never joining them officially. On one of their joint operations, Byleth saves Shaetima's life, prompting Shae to owe Byleth a favor they can cash in at any time.In a similar vein to Shamir, Shaetima took up work with the Church of Seiros as a mercenary a year before the events of Three Houses unfold. Unlike Shamir, it was solely for self-interest. Shae was rather fascinated with the fact that a religious institution had somehow cemented themselves as seemingly the highest power in this country. When Byleth joins the Church as a Professor, Shaetima is able to be recruited as an optional unit.If not recruited, Shaetima disappears when war breaks out in Fodlan, entirely uninterested in the political state of the world. However, if she is recruited, Shaetima will be the one to care for Byleth during their time unconscious. In that time, Shaetima joins a guild of infobrokers searching for a cure for those afflicted with the curse of dual Crests, dubbed "Nightfall". Upon reawakening, Shae guides Byleth to the Monastery, and after clearing the bandits, she begins to go on her own way before Byleth calls in the favor that Shae owes them. From then on, whichever House Byleth chose to lead, Shaetima joins them to see their path through. After the war? Shaetima stays in Fodlan and becomes the head of Nightfall, using their resources to help with reconstruction. During this time, Nightfall transitions into a guild of thieves and mercenaries focused on the accumulation of information to sell to those who seek them out... and when everything is said and done, she disappears from Fodlan.

Shaetima's next prominent appearance is in Ylisse, in the world that Lucina travels to from her ruined future specifically. Shaetima appears alongside Anna in her paralogue, getting caught up in the bandit attacks while doing business with her. With little choice, she bears her shadowy blades to defend herself and the other merchants caught up in the storm.Able to be recruited during the chapter similarly to Anna, Shaetima introduces herself as a mercenary and thief with a penchant for tactics which interests Robin. Noting her skills, Chrom attempts to recruit her into the Shepherds, to which she only agrees if she's given a sizable paycheck in a somewhat snarky manner, considering her disdain for royalty. When Chrom agrees, she's a little surprised, but accepts, considering she was only joking at first. From then on, she becomes an assistant tactician to Robin and assists the Shepherds in their endeavors.Concerning the children from the future, Shaetima is at further odds with Lucina upon any initial meeting. Being someone who watches over time, she sees someone attempting to manipulate this world's future. With only her father's influence to reference back to, she doesn't take very kindly to Lucina's presence here. After time passes, however, she warms up to the idea that manipulation of the timeline perhaps isn't all bad... if it's in service to the greater good. While in Ylisse, her temperament towards royalty softens, due to Chrom's genuine kindness and want to do good by and for his people. After Grima's defeat, Shaetima feels a familiar presence in the world... and feels the need to return home. With the disappearance of Severa, Owain, and Inigo, Shaetima follows suit and leaves on her own accord, disappearing into the Outrealms.

The exact nature of her return to the World of Fates varies by the route chosen by Corrin, but the general details remain the same.Upon her return, Shaetima finds that her ability to see the future in this world has become extremely diminished, and that Valla has become completely abandoned, an evil presence lurking in the atmosphere. She travels to the world above and begins to set up Nightfall's presence in this world to build her information network, eager to see what has transpired in the time she's been gone. She eventually catches wind of Corrin, and considers them a person of interest, watching from afar. Corrin's mere presence in this world seems to be the source of her inability to see the future...When the time is right, Shaetima appears on Corrin's path - whatever that may be - and becomes her army's tactician, leading them towards victory, wherever Corrin directs them. Aware of the royal's origins, Shaetima hopes that Corrin's path leads them back to Valla, and back to Anankos, in order to set him free.Similarly to the nature of her return, the end of her story in Fates depends on the route...

  • Noxkinesis - Shaetima holds complete dominion over the dark, able to wield the shadows and mold them into physical constructs limited only by her imagination. Being the daughter of the Dusk Dragon, the dark is an intrinsic part of her being, and she can sense anything that it touches.
--- Related to it, she can step into one shadow and reappear from another within line of sight from the former.
--- This is not so much magic as it is just an ability she possesses. Though she is able to bless others to use her shadow "magic".

  • Typhokinesis - A secondary form of magic she uses, Shae can generate and manipulate smoke, fog, anything of the like. When generating it, it appears to emit from the edge of her figure.
--- To a lesser degree, she can manipulate the air, having pinpointed her exact applications of it to forcing the wind out of someone's lungs to leave them winded.
--- She can dissipate her form into a fine mist, able to move through vents or tight spots easily.

  • Miscellaneous Magic - On her travels through the Outrealms, Shaetima has collected many spells from many worlds. Her arsenal is rather vast as a result of her age.

  • Thievery - Everything that comes with the field, she can do. Fleet-footed, light hands, silent whilst moving, pickpocketing, lockpicking... having centuries to hone her craft, Shaetima is nothing if not an expert thief.

  • As daughter of the Dusk Dragon, she has the ability to revert to her draconic form. Her shadow magic is much more powerful in this state.

An experimental Smart AI born before the Fall of Reach to an understudy of Dr. Halsey by the name of Claire Calcifer. Following in Halsey's footsteps, Shaetima is an AI made in the same vein of Cortana: from a flash-cloned brain of a living human. Shaetima possesses the ability to dump her knowledge into a private "cloud" storage across the known galaxy which halts the onslaught of Rampancy. After the events of Halo 3, Shaetima was selected to participate in ONI's PROJECT: OPEN CASKET. A program that allowed AI to pilot MJOLNIR armor. The point being to see if AI could work just as well if not better than human operators, in an attempt to cut the costs and time required to obtain and train human Spartans for deployment into the field. Her service ID is STM-6160-7
During operations as a Spartan, she holds the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.

  • As an AI, Shaetima can interface with most technology and operate it. If unfamiliar with any technology she interfaces with, it'll take her a few minutes to teach herself how to operate it.

  • Shaetima can dump information she has into storage banks across the galaxy and subsequently retrieve it. This helps to fight the onslaught of Rampancy and keep her sane.

  • Shaetima's armor can allow a human pilot access (of course, only those who have undergone SPARTAN augmentations). She can also override their piloting abilities to manipulate the armor herself, if the need arises, such as if the pilot falls unconscious for whatever reason.

The IPC's been around for a little too long, hasn't it? Isn't it about time that there was some shake-up to the order of the cosmos? Of course, one doesn't just challenge a mega-corporation that's been so firmly rooted in the comings and goings of life. You'd need an army for that. Perhaps they aren't well-known anymore, but some still remember one of the more notable warrior races of the galaxy: the Iron Cavalry. The commission was simple. With a donated DNA sample born from a Foxian, use it to genetically engineer something akin to the Iron Cavalry. A prototype, a proof of concept. Something that embodies the Cavalry. All of their prowess, minus the pesky downside of only a few years of life due to donor DNA. The finished product? Should be something akin to and surpassing the power of a Cavalry unit. Something far more powerful and destructive with undying loyalty, and a long life dedicated to their masters.Who better to cultivate life than Ruan Mei? Bring back one of the most powerful warriors the galaxy had known? She had secretly already tried to recreate something of the Swarm once before, why not make an attempt at their enemy? So, four years before the Trailblazer is awakened on Herta Station, an experiment began. But soon after the test subject was created and matured...? Well, the unfortunate truth of the matter is that not even Ruan Mei could perfect the Iron Cavalry. Chalk it up to another failure in her endeavors at creating a "genius" from scratch if somebody had to know. A failure so disastrous that it resulted in the charred and shredded remains of both equipment and people. Unlike her previous failures, this was to be discarded.

- - - - -

Shaetima is the failed result of attempting to bring an "improved" version of the Iron Cavalry into the modern era. Officially deemed a "failure" due to genetic defects, she was to be destroyed were it not for Ruan Mei's interest in the experiment that didn't cut it. Officially? The failure was disposed of.Unofficially? An experiment was given the beginnings of a new life, taught how to control her abilities... and then? Given free reign to go and live that life. Explore what the galaxy had to offer and find her own place in it. After all, just because the donor considers the experiment a failure doesn't mean the one conducting it has to stop observing. While wandering the cosmos, traveling from planet to planet, she was met with a rather interesting proposal... someone who promised to be able to make it so that she wasn't cursed by the knowledge that her shadows bring her, she only need work for them. Seeing as how she wished to seek a life of her own, she agreed, and became a Stellaron Hunter. In a similar vein to how Firefly became known as "SAM" and the "Molten Knight", Shae took on the monikers of "Calcifer" and the "Black Knight", for she only ever actively appeared in her armor when working, same as the being she was based on.Shae's specialization within the Stellaron Hunters revolves around stealth and thievery. With her ability to manipulate the darkness, she can use it to hide herself and others. Light on her feet, even without the usage of her armor, she can move around silently. From someone else's view, she's a shadow herself: a silent figure cloaked in black, drifting from place to place.

Shaetima is sent to Herta Space Station to assist Herta's puppets with testing the Simulated Universe as a favor on behalf of Ruan Mei. After which, Ruan Mei has instructed Shae to find her own way in the universe, to find an identity that is all her own. Shortly after finishing the test, Herta Space Station is attacked by the Antimatter Legion, and due to witnessing her combat capabilities in the simulation, Herta requests her assistance in repelling the invaders. With no reason to refuse, Shae agrees, and aids in the defense effort, running into the Astral Express crew and joining their ranks temporarily, parting ways with the crew after lending her assistance with the Doomsday Beast.Later, when things calm down, Shae runs into Himeko when she's offering the Trailblazer a spot on the Astral Express. Having heard of their journey across the stars, Shae requests to join them, wishing to explore the universe herself, and find who she is. With a request such as this, it doesn't get much purer than that. And so, Himeko extends the invitation to Shaetima as well.

Some basic details:

  • Path: Nihility
--- With her birth being far from normal, she wishes to find both her place in life and the meaning behind life itself. Subconsciously, she believes that her life has no meaning in part due to her label as a "failed experiment."

  • Type: Quantum
--- Initially, she was Fire as she was supposed to be an artificial Iron Cavalry unit. However, due to her flames burning out, she wields the ashes left behind, changing it to Quantum.
--- Without something major happening to her physiology, she can never wield Fire as a type.

  • Smaller Details
--- Genetic defects during her inception have made her nearsighted, which is why she wears glasses.
--- This Shae stands at a whopping 5'6"... ears included. Without them? She's... erm... 4'10"...

Shae:

  • She holds the ability to physically manipulate the shadows around her, but specifically only the shadows belonging to sentient beings.
--- Her manipulation of the dark leans into "Quantum" concepts regarding Entanglement and Information. Because of her manipulation of the dark, she's already intrinsically entangled by it, which forces her to absorb information from the dark - coming in the form of memories and emotions belonging to the owner of that shadow. As a result, her mind is filled with moments that don't belong to her, and she's become rather forgetful as her mind discards memories and emotions already there in exchange for ones that she absorbs.
The "victim" whose shadow gets used does not lose what Shaetima gains.
--- She can wrap herself and others in the dark she manipulates to completely hide within it.
--- Despite it being the dark, when Shae manipulates it, it is entirely unaffected by light. Her constructs, however, do have a noticeably weaker durability than what they're based on. They can break, and when they do, they shatter like glass.

  • Despite wearing boots, Shaetima moves about eerily quietly. Her footsteps don't make any sounds. Coupled with her light hands, she's a near-expert pickpocket.

  • As an emulation of the Iron Cavalry in conjunction with the Foxian DNA she was spliced with, she possesses characteristics from both races, namely superhuman perception and lightning-fast reflexes.

Calcifer:

  • Shae does not require a device like Firefly does to manifest her armor. Instead, her armor is her shadow due to her flames burning out while using it early in her life.
--- Her element changed on the molecular level, and while using it in conjunction with her armor, it became linked via the quantum ashes it gave way to, causing it to become indistinguishable as a separate object. Now? Her shadow and her armor are one.
--- Because her shadow IS her armor, she cannot manipulate her own shadow like she does others'. It is solely used to "store" her armor.
--- Shaetima's shadow, regardless of light conditions, will ALWAYS be present due to it storing her armor.

  • Calcifer's voice does not typically emanate from his armor, rather, the shadows all around whoever he speaks to. ln the event that there are none, then it will come from him directly. Calcifer's voice sounds similar to Sam's, but is more staticky and distorted. It's layered on top of itself, with one of those layers being delayed. Almost as if whenever he speaks, you're attempting to recall a memory you can't quite grasp...

  • Due to Shaetima's shadow being her armor, when Calcifer is active, he will never cast a shadow, adding on to his otherworldly appearance.

  • Calcifer cannot take flight like Sam may. Instead, the enhanced movement his armor provides is teleportation based on the quantum physics concept, "The Observer Effect."
--- Calcifer has the ability to teleport, does so when he is not being observed. If he is observed, he exists. But once you lose sight of him, did he ever exist where you saw him last? That is the concept behind Calcifer's ability to teleport. However, when fully unleashed, Calcifer sheds that restriction and teleports unbound by the eyes that shackle him.
--- Calcifer's teleportation makes no sound.
--- With his armor's full capabilities unleashed, Calcifer's unbound teleportation takes on an extra characteristic in that it allows him to preserve momentum if he so chooses.
--- Calcifer has no limits on his teleportation's distance, and is instead based on the visualization of where he wishes to go. Whereas the Firefly armor can allow one to travel between planets, Calcifer can simply BE there with no time between. The longer the distance, however, the more energy is consumed. It can become detrimental.
--- Others CAN be taken with him when he teleports.

  • In comparison to Sam's armor, Calcifer's is lighter and weaker in exchange for speed. He may not be as durable as Sam, but he can move far faster.

  • Even despite the stark white outlines on Calcifer, he is able to hide completely in the dark.

  • Calcifer has the ability to move from shadow to shadow as long as they are within line of sight, with no way to tell which one he is moving to. When stepping out from one, it's as if he is stepping out from an invisible wall.

  • Similarly to Shae, Calcifer makes no noise when moving around, despite being far larger and heavier than she is.

  • Calcifer's armor has an infrasound generator built into it. If he so wishes, anyone in his vicinity - when the generator is activated - will emit a frequency that forcibly makes those around him uneasy and fearful, forcing a sense of dread to hang over the afflicted.
--- This can work even when he's hiding in the dark.
--- His fellow Stellaron Hunters have been given gear that makes them immune to this. The Trailblazer does not possess it.

When I'm porting Shae to other verses, I strive to make it feel like she's a natural part of that verse. And that includes making her seem like she's a character you could actually use in the game! So, that's what this section is for. Outlining everything she can do as if you pulled her from a banner or something. All of these are worded as if no Trace was upgraded.Quick note regarding her armor, while Firefly is already in her armor upon starting combat, Shae builds hers over the course of a fight, or when using her Ultimate. This is STRICTLY in terms of "gameplay." In actual writing, she's either showing up in armor immediately or summoning it right away.

  • Basic ATK - Inky Facsimile
Deals minor Quantum DMG to one enemy that scales with Shaetima's ATK.
Shaetima wills the shadows to emulate a weapon currently on the field wielded by friend or foe to strike.

  • Talent - Twilight Garrison
While above 50% HP, Shaetima slightly increases the chances of herself being attacked. If Energy is lower than 30% when the battle starts, regenerates Energy to 30%.
Each time she deals DMG, is attacked, or has her turn order elevated, grant one stack of "Shade Armory." For each stack of "Shade Armory", increase Shae's SPD by 5% and gain a stacking 5% DMG Reduction. Max stacks of "Shade Armory" = 5. Upon reaching max stacks, enter the Nightstalker state and grant +25% ATK stat buff. Each subsequent Skill or Basic ATK usage in this state reduces "Shade Armory" by 2, losing 5% of the ATK buff per loss of stack until stack count returns to 0. It cannot go below 0. While Nightstalker is active, Calcifer cannot gain stacks of "Shade Armory".
Each time Shaetima attacks, suffers damage, or gains a turn order increase, part of Calcifer's armor is built using her shadow. At max stacks of "Shade Armory", Calcifer's armor becomes fully realized. When burning stacks of "Shade Armory", Calcifer's armor does not visibly degrade. When stacks reach 0, the armor melts away.

  • Skill - Dark Tidings - Skill Point Cost: 1
Deals minor Quantum DMG to one enemy and adjacent targets. Those afflicted suffer the "Void Weaken" debuff, which reduces their Toughness by 15%. For each enemy afflicted by "Void Weaken", increase Shaetima's ATK by a stacking 3%. Debuff lasts three turns. Reactivating the Skill returns the debuff counter to three. If an enemy with "Void Weaken" enemy suffers Weakness Break, grant one stack of "Shade Armory" even if Nightstalker is active. If Nightstalker is active, reduce enemy toughness by 20% instead and increase initial damage dealt by 10%.
Shaetima reaches a hand out and slowly forms a fist whilst slowly bending her arm at the elbow back. Jolting it back suddenly and clutching her hand, the enemy shadows swirl into existence like ink in water before becoming jagged and stabbing into them.

  • Technique - Nightfall
Immediately attack the targeted enemy. At the start of each wave, apply a randomly-chosen weakness that lasts two turns to each enemy based on the Types of the current party and deal minor Quantum DMG to each enemy with a Quantum weakness.
The targeted enemy's shadow swirls into the world before becoming sharp and jagged, forming a clawed hand that grabs them from behind.

  • Ultimate - Fractured in Time - Single Target - Energy Cost: 360
Shaetima's Ultimate's effects are dependent on the stack count of "Shade Armory".
If stack count is at 5, Calcifer applies Quantum Weakness and performs a multi-hit attack that deals massive Quantum DMG to one designated enemy. Remove all stacks of "Shade Armory".
Calcifer causes shadowy imitations of his allies' to appear and harm the targeted enemy using their last DMG-dealing animation all at once before he unleashes a flurry of teleports and tears into them with his claws, finishing off with an exploding uppercut that causes his armor to melt away.

  • Ultimate - Fractured in Time - Enhance - Energy Cost: 360
Shaetima's Ultimate's effects are dependent on the stack count of "Shade Armory".
If stack count is at 4 or lower, immediately increase stacks to 5 and enter the Blackout state instead of Nightstalker, lasting for three actions made by Calcifer. While in Blackout, Basic ATK and Skill functionality are altered. After three actions are exhausted, Blackout ends and all stacks of "Shade Armory" are removed.
All light in the area goes dark, but everyone's able to see as if their vision isn't impaired. Shaetima's body becomes consumed by an inky orb only visible by its swirls and after a brief moment, Calcifer's hands burst forward and tear it apart, causing it to explode. All light returns to the battlefield and for the duration of Blackout, a black rain looms overhead, and all shadows cast become jagged and take on a watery effect. When this enhanced state ends, everything returns to normal and Calcifer's armor melts away.

  • Enhanced Basic ATK - AoE - Temporal Displacement
Deals massive Quantum DMG that scales based on Calcifer's ATK + 25% of his SPD. For each enemy targeted by this attack, reduce the DMG this attack does by 15%. If there is only one target, do not reduce damage. Enemies targeted by this attack have a chance to suffer from "Haunted by the Past" which forces those afflicted to skip a turn and take Quantum DMG based on 5% of Calcifer's SPD. Unlike Freeze, this does not advance the enemy's turn, but it does decrease their DEF and Effect RES by 12%. The more enemies targeted by this attack, the more likely it is to trigger. Enemies who suffer Weakness Break from Temporal Displacement have an extra chance to be inflicted with "Haunted by the Past" if they aren't already inflicted. This second chance has a lower chance of infliction.
Calcifer teleports around his enemies, slashing at them with his claws from all angles. Finally, he returns to his original position and slowly raises a finger pointing at them before their shadows jut out and pierce them from where the shadow is cast. There is a chance for the shadows to form claws after piercing and latch onto the enemies, holding them in place.

  • Enhanced Skill - Shadebound
Target an ally and emulate their Ultimate at 50% effectiveness, using the targeted ally's stats for any calculations with 3% of Calcifer's stats being added as a bonus. For all Ultimates copied this way, if they utilize the Type in any meaningful way, modify the type it would initially have been to Quantum, including all secondary effects to those related to Quantum where applicable.
Calcifer uses the shadows to emulate the effects of his allies' Ultimates, providing unmatched utility on the battlefield.

WIP! But this page is definitely for fun, it's just where I'll put "voicelines" Shae or Calcifer has when put onto a team with certain characters. If we interact a lot, you'll find your character here!

  • Like it says, WIP. I'll get to this later :P

Heavy WIP. Like, this one is going to take a long time to get up and running. So... instead, I'll just let you guys see the google doc I'm sending to an artist that outlines what she'll be wearing. Keep in mind that it's subject to change as the process goes on.
